Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes

When is check-in and check-out time?
Most properties rent from Saturday to Saturday and our check-in time is 5:00 p.m. All properties are equipped with an electronic keypad or a key box containing a key to the home. You will check-in directly at the property and will be provided detailed instructions approximately one week prior to your arrival. Our check-out time is Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. There is a charge for late check-outs. 

Do you rent for less than a week?
Typically, from June through August, our rentals are only available on a weekly basis. Rentals for less than a week may be available on a property-by-property basis. Please call 888-764-2836 for further details.

Do you offer online reservations?
Yes. Jaqua Realtors offers an online reservation service that allows you to make reservations and payments online. At the time of reservation, a deposit equal to 50% of the total charge is required.

How will I receive my confirmation and arrival instructions from Jaqua Realtors?
All confirmations and arrival instructions will be sent via email. In order to ensure delivery, please check your spam folder as your computer may direct the confirmation to spam. All confirmation and arrival instructions will be sent within 3 business days after the completion of your reservation. What are your office hours?
Jaqua Realtors Rental Division off season business hours are from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. During peak season (June - August) our office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Due to the current “Stay-at-Home” order in effect, the office is not open to the public but we are available via phone or e-mail during regular business hours.

What types of amenities are provided in the properties?
A variety of amenities are offered in our individual units. Please refer to our online Vacation Rentals page or call 888-764-2836 for specifics.

Are the properties non-smoking?
Yes, all of our properties are strictly non-smoking.

How many people are allowed to stay in each property?
The occupancy number varies with each property and is determined by the owner, Jaqua Realtors Vacation Places and the City of South Haven. It is imperative the occupancy limit for each individual property be respected. Safety is taken into consideration when occupancy limits are set.  Current restrictions on the number of people gathering imposed due to COVID-19 may impact the number of guests allowed in the properties.  Please contact the office with any questions or concerns.

Are linens, towels and starter products provided?
All properties are cleaned prior to your arrival. Linens are provided for all the beds in the rental units. There are starter paper products in the home for your convenience including paper towel, toilet paper, a bar of soap per bathroom and trash bags. Bath towels are provided according to the number of guests per the occupancy of the property. It is the responsibility of the renters/guests to bring their own beach towels.

Are pets allowed?
Our properties do not allow pets unless they qualify as service animals.

Are your properties annually inspected?
Our staff does an inspection of all properties prior to the start of the summer rental season.  In addition, all properties located in the City of South Haven are required to be registered as a vacation rental and undergo an annual inspection by the City of South Haven Building Department and Fire Department.
